My story

Everyone has a story on their health journey. Most of us were never guided.

I’ve lived it. As a kid I was buying husky-size jeans at the JC Penney counter — I’ve carried the weight, and the frustration of doing everything “right” and still not seeing it move. That’s not a willpower problem. It’s a biology problem, and it deserves a real clinical answer, not a lecture.

For nearly a decade I’ve dedicated my practice to obesity medicine and the full metabolic hormone axis — thyroid, cortisol, insulin sensitivity, sex hormones — because treating weight without treating its underlying drivers is incomplete medicine. My approach is realistic and down-to-earth: meet you where you are, explain what’s actually happening in your body, and guide you the way most of us never were.

Why one physician

No queue. No chatbot. No hand-off.

Big telehealth brands route you through intake bots and a rotating cast of prescribers. Summit is deliberately the opposite: one doctor who knows your case, reachable directly, accountable for your outcome.

1

Continuity

The same physician from application through taper — decisions are made by someone who knows your history.

2

Access

Direct messaging with Dr. Miranda, not a support queue. Questions get a physician’s answer.

3

Honesty

Flat pricing, medication at cost, no insurance games — and a plan designed to end, not renew.

Work with Dr. Miranda

One physician, start to finish.

Apply in about five minutes — you’ll hear back from a doctor, not a form.
