This bypasses the monitoring that makes titration safe. Dose changes should account for GI tolerance, other medications, kidney function, and individual response — data a physician tracks over time, not something reliably self-managed from a forum thread.
What Monitored Titration Actually Looks Like
In a clinical setting, dose adjustments are paired with regular check-ins: how’s appetite, GI tolerance, energy, and weight trend responding? Are there signs the current dose is too low, too high, or right but needs more time? This ongoing conversation is what separates supervised titration from guesswork, and it’s why unexplained hunger or a stalled plateau is worth a call to your prescriber rather than a dose change on your own.
